Picnic on the Beach
Thursday, February 25, 11am-2:15pm, $10, Leave from the Vets Hall Parking Lot
Grab your friends, pack a delicious lunch and get out of the house to breathe the fresh ocean air at Goleta Beach. A prefect escape for a marvelous day trip. Please register for this trip here. Elephant Seals and Cambria
Tuesday, March 30, 9am-4pm, $30, Leave from the Vets Hall Parking Lot
Witness hundreds of elephant seals along the beautiful coast of the Piedras Blancas beaches just north of Cambria. Enjoy the time to take pictures and learn some history of the seals. Afterwards, you'll have time to enjoy lunch and shopping on your own in the charming town of Cambria. Please register for this trip here. No payment will be taken until one week prior to trip based on State and County COVID guidelines and restrictions.
Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo by Train
Monday April 19, 11:30am-6:30pm, $55, Leave from the Vets Hall Parking Lot
Catch the train in Santa Barbara and travel north while witnessing the beautiful views of the coastline, including VAFB. Our bus will then pick you up at the SLO station and take you into town to enjoy shopping and/or a quick bite to eat. Travel back by Parks and Rec bus. Please register for this trip here. No payment will be taken until until the week of April 5-9, 2021 and State and County COVID guidelines and restrictions.
Descanso Gardens
Thursday, May 20, 8:30am-5:30pm, $40, Leave from the Vets Hall Parking Lot
Descanso Gardens is a unique Southern California landscape just outside Pasadena distinguished by its specialized botanic collections, historical significance, and rare natural beauty. Blooms on this 150 acre property will include roses, azaleas, camellias, irises, wildflowers and California natives. Please register for this trip here. Adult Dance- Lindy Hop
**CLASSES POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE**
Indulge in the fun of a classic American dance! Lindy hop is just as playful as it is invigorating. Join Hannah Rasby for lessons at the Solvang Vets Hall on Wednesday nights. Every week will focus on different set of moves or techniques. Each lesson will also include a basic step, so beginners are always welcome to drop in. No partner required. Register
